"Excellent app - Great appHave much use of it and it is excellent for learning phrases and new words. It has most of the basic and necessary vocabulary and evey day you can choose to receive word of the dayFor each word/phrase there is both hiragana/katakana as well as roman letters that makes it easy to read in addition to the audio function where you get pronounciation of the word/phrase."

Tap on any phrase to hear the spoken pronunciation by our native Japanese teacher Yuko Mori. If the audio seems too fast at first you can adjust the speed control to a comfortable speed. Each phrase includes Japanese Kanji translation and phonetic guide.

Very good for learning your first fifty some words to get you started. Gives the English pronunciation as well as has someone say it for you and you get hundreds of words for free with no ads couldnt ask for more. Plus you dont need the upgrade until you get serious and by that point you will have gotten a lot out of this app so it will be well worth it.

This is a great app if you are traveling to Japan and need to learn the basics. Only wish u could access offline version as there isnt always wifi avail overseas.
